WATCH! One Direction perform on ‘Sesame Street’ – see clip here
One Direction know all about what makes the letter ‘U’ useful, and they are more than happy to share their knowledge on ‘Sesame Street,’ with the educational kids show teasing their performance on YouTube yesterday.
In a parody of their hit song ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ the boys pay homage to the 21st letter of the alphabet for an episode which is due to air in the next season.
As the opening melody of the song starts up a purple foam letter ‘U,’ with the classic ‘Sesame Street’ eyes and mouth, rises from the bottom of the screen, followed closely by the lads as Liam Payne sings: “This letter’s U, you know it’s true. It starts some words, there are more than a few.”
“26 letters are in the alphabet, but we’re here to sing about U,” declares Harry Styles as the teaser fades out.
According to a report the One Direction boys aren't the only celebs set to do a skit as part of the 2014-2015 season of the show, with Tina Fey, Janelle Monae and Macklemore also rumoured to be making an appearance.
With a lineup like that we’ll certainly be keeping our eyes peeled for any more upcoming teasers!
