After months of speculation - the first official line-up for Aussie’s biggest music festival ‘Big Day Out 2011’ has finally been revealed!
And with a huge list of local and international stars confirmed to rock the stage Down Under – we reckon the agonizingly long wait has been worth it!
Headlining the bash will be US metallers Tool , 2006 performers Iggy and The Stooges, and rock icons Rammstein - who’ll be back in Oz for the first time in a decade.
Meanwhile Lupe Fiasco, M.I.A and LCD Soundsystem are all making a welcome return to the festival - which kicks off in Auckland on January 21, before heading to the God Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
Newcomers to the event, which has been billed by festival organisers as the “biggest and most diverse, ever” includes Bloody Beetroots Death Crew 77, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Jim Jones Revue, The Black Keys, Die Antwoord, CSS, Plan B and Crystal Castles.
And there’s a whole bunch of local talent confirmed too! John Butler Trio, Airbourne, Birds Of Tokyo, Angus and Julia Stone, Children Collide, Dead Letter Circus, Bliss N Eso, Gyroscope and Operator Please are all joining the long list of killer acts.
Don’t miss the epic mix of festival veterans and BDO first-timers when tickets go on sale October 6.
