OXJAM, MTV Music and MTV Dance Announce Marathon Month-long Music Festival, 'Gigs For Good'
OXJAM is heading Down Under for 2015 and today they announced a slew of much-anticipated parties pumping across the country come August.
Teaming up with MTV Music and MTV Dance, OXJAM are kicking off the party with an event on July 30 at MTV HQ to show club promoters, venues and party-lovers how to throw their own Gig For Good. Better yet Cosmo's Midnight (DJ set) and Set Mo will be hitting the decks with more to be announced.
Next on August 1 party tastemakers UNDR ctrl will turn up the heat with their 1st birthday bash at Oxford Art Factory. Olympic Ayres as well as Set Mo and Tear Council (made up of Van She and Touch Sensitive) will headline making the bday celebrations one not to miss - you only turn one once after all!
But this isn't just a tour of Sydney. Noisey are joining the party with a lineup of gigs across Sydney (The Chippendale Hotel), Melbourne (The Grace Darling) and Brisbane (Trainspotters).
Purple Sneakers are bringing Adelaide into the mix with a party at Cats as well as Cant Say (Melbourne) and The TBC Club (Brisbane). At the same time Sydney's World Bar are throwing three consecutive friday night parties from August 14 onwards.
Meanwhile record label I Oh You have gathered World's End Press, Sunbeam Sound Machine and Fortunes for a killer set list at Shadow Electric in Melbourne on August 15.
Back in Sydney, Motorik have organised the ultimate techno experience with support from the likes of Stereogamous, Made In Paris and Francis Xavier at Spice on August 22. Tech-yes!
The penultimate event will be hosted by flamboyant party institution Heaps Gay, which is back taking over Goodgod Small Club on August 28 featuring Baby Face Thrilla, Cache One and Lakemba Ladies.
To finish up the month-long marathon, Sydney hip hop collective One Day will be throwing a blow out on August 30. All your favourite residents Joyride, Adit and Raph will be in attendance ready to bump and grind at The Factory Theatre.
If you want to get involved you can throw your own event via the OXJAM 'Gig Maker' - saving the world never sounded so good.
