Forget Bieber fever – Mastin mania is taking over!
Aussie heartthrob Reece Mastin was reportedly forced to leave a public appearance in Auckland after he was mobbed by a bunch of screaming fans.
According to MSN, the ‘X-Factor’ star cut his in-store signing at The Warehouse Sylvia Park short after thousands of tweens battled it out for a glimpse of their idol.
The 17-year-old was allegedly due to remain at the meet-and-greet until 8.30pm, but was “whisked away” within just 20 minutes of arriving at the scene.
According to the New Zealand Herald, several teenage girls fainted at the scene and one had to be dragged from the crowd.
"There were little kids who were knocked over because people were just rushing forward, it was crazy," teen fan Amalia Wickstead told the New Zealand Herald.
Meanwhile, Reece has also spoken out about the incident, telling MSN in a statement,
"I'm so sorry that we had to cut it short, but my fans are the most important thing in the world to me and we had to make sure that the situation remained safe for everyone. When I come back in April I'll do my very best to make it up to you."
