Rhiannon Fish talks engagement plans with Reece Mastin

The ‘Home and Away’ star dishes on making a long-distance relationship work as she sets off for LA…

‘Home and Away’ star Rhiannon Fish has revealed she’s leaving the Aussie soap for a shot at the big time in LA, but that doesn’t mean that things are all over with her boyfriend Reece Mastin – far from it!

The 22-year-old actress dished on her relationship in an interview with TV Week, revealing that she believes her romance with the ‘Shout It Out’ rocker will withstand the trials of long-distance love.

“It is hard, but I think if you’ve got a dream, you just have to follow it,” said the actress, when talking about the idea of moving away from her boyfriend of over a year.

“I trust that Reece and I have a really strong relationship. People make long-distance [relationships] work, so there’s no reason why we can’t make it work too.”

Looking to the future, Fish explained that the pair have talked about tying the knot, but they’re not ready to walk down the aisle just yet.

“[Getting engaged] is something we’ve discussed,” admits the starlet. “But, it doesn’t mean it’ll happen anytime soon. He’s 18 and I’m 22! It’s certainly something we see in our future.”

Speaking of making the move to Los Angeles, the Canadian-born actress revealed that she’s heading over at the start of next year and is already set up with a management company in the US.

“I did a bunch of auditions while I was over there and it went really well,” she shared.

“Now, it’s just that whole sitting by the phone and waiting to see if one of them comes through…”

Meanwhile, Rhiannon is looking forward to competing in the upcoming season of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and getting in some quality time with Reece and her family before she sets off.

“The Mastins always have a really big Boxing Day event, so I’m definitely going to be there, and I think we’re going to try to split Christmas Day between my family and his.”
