The Bajan beauty has scooped herself a mighty FIVE nominations at the bash, which will be broadcast live from LA’s Staples Center Friday September 7 on MTV Australia.

And the ‘We Found Love’ singer, who’s up for prizes including ‘Video of the Year,’ faces some stiff competition from her music buddy Drake, who’s also picked up five nods.

The RnB pair will go up against fellow nominees Katy Perry, Aussie hitmaker Gotye and M.I.A.

But, it’s not just about the winning - it’s the taking part. And we’re super excited that One Direction are confirmed to perform on the night!

The Brit boyband, who’ve received a nod for ‘Best New Artist,’ will take to the stage alongside superstar Alicia Keys.

The chart-topping Queen, who’ll be premiering a brand new track at the event, told MTV News in a statement,

"Debuting a new song at the VMAs is definitely special.

“It’s the perfect setting. It’s the right energy. It’s the right vibe. People are so excited about the night of music and hearing different styles that it just goes over really well. I can’t wait!”
