Roxette - Review
Roxette sent Sydney on the ultimate 'Joyride’ last night!
Back on our shores after 17 years away, the 80s legends thrilled a packed out crowd at the city's Entertainment Centre.
After canceling their show in Auckland last week, an anxious audience was pleased to see band member Per Gessle back in fine form after recently falling ill.
Joined by platinum blonde front-woman Marie Fredriksson,
the Swedish duo, who were 'Dressed For Success' in leathers and tie dye, kicked off the night with classics like 'Big Love' and 'Sleeping In My Car.'
“It's fantastic being here!" raved Per.
“It's been a while...we’ve missed you!"
And it was clear that they'd been missed too!
But, despite last taking to the Aussie stage back in 1995, Roxette superfans hadn't forgotten their favourite tracks, and each song was a chance for the crowd to show off their own vocal skills!
Of course, they couldn't compare to the stars of the show though…
Snubbing the need for any fancy stage stunts or expensive gimmicks, the pop rock pair, along with their talented band, did what they do best and delivered what everyone wanted - their biggest hits!
Rocking out with old school tracks like ‘How Do You Do,’ and ‘Dangerous,’ they successfully had everyone up on their feet!
Bringing the fun-filled evening to an end, the iconic hitmakers slowed things right down and took taking fans "to Hollywood" with their most famous smash‘It Must Have Been Love.'
