YAS QUEEN: A Scripted TV Series Based On RuPaul's Life Is Officially In The Works
Start your engines QUEEEENS, because a dramedy based on RuPaul's life is in the works.
Entertainment Weekly have confirmed the news that Hulu are currently developing an original series based on the icon's journey to become a "global voice for the LGBTQ community in pop culture throughout the ’90s."

Mama Ru AKA RuPaul Andre Charles is teaming up with writer Gary Lennon (Orange Is The New Black) to co-produce the scripted series alongside JJ Abrams (Westworld, Alias) who is serving as executive producer.
The series - currently titled 'Queen' - will present a fictionalised version of RuPaul’s rise to fame as the #1 drag superstar in the world and LGBTQ icon.
World of Wonder, who also produce VH1's Drag Race, are also part of the project.
