Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg, Afrojack, Imagine Dragons performing at ‘2013 MTV EMA’
Not only will Miley’s twerk buddy Robin Thicke and indie rockers Imagine Dragons now also be taking to the Ziggo Dome stage, but Snoop Dogg and Afrojack will be join forces to perform together! The hip-hop legend and the Amsterdam native will be hitting one of the city’s hottest clubs, Melkweg, with their hot collaboration being beamed into the EMA broadcast.
Dutch DJ/producer Afrojack’s new single ‘The Spark’ also serves at the theme music to the EMA this year, and naturally the star is stoked to be such a big part of the show.
“It’s really cool to be nominated for two EMAs and perform at the EMAs!” he said.
“The EMAs are one of my favourite award shows and the fact they’re happening in Amsterdam makes it even more special. Best Electronic and Best Dutch Act are two categories that mean a lot to me. Whatever happens, I feel fortunate to be nominated and I can’t even explain how dope it is to have my new track, ‘The Spark,’ as the official theme song to the EMAs!”
Snoop Dogg will also be joined by the 7 Days of Funk to perform a “funked-out” rendition of ‘Gin and Juice’ to commemorate the 20th anniversary of ‘Doggystyle.’
The singer-songwriter is up for four EMAs, including Best Song and Best Video for ‘Blurred Lines,’ as well as Best World Stage and Best US Act.
“I am grateful and excited to be nominated and performing at this year's EMAs. I know it will be an amazing night!” Robin told MTV.
