'America's Next Top Model' Star Jael Strauss Dies At Age 34
It's a sad day for fans of America's Next Top Model.
Jael Strauss, who competed on season 8 of the show lost her battle to breast cancer this week, just two months after announcing her diagnosis.
In October this year, Jael told her fans: "I was gonna write some long thing but some of you guys deserve to know, on Octoer 2nd I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer."
"It has aggressively spread throughout my body and is incurable. With treatment it may prolong my life longer than the 'few months' doctors said I could make it. I don't want to die. I need another one of those miracles I got back in 2013."
After Jael appeared on ANTM in 2007, she fell into drug addiction and ended becoming homeless. In 2012, she appeared on Dr Phil, where her brother Brandon and mother Debbie attempted an intervention. A year later, the model revealed she had managed to stay sober since the show and told Too Fab, she was "the happiest I've been in my entire life."
We're so sad for Jael's family and friends and we're sending them all our love and strength.
