Olly Murs to Taylor Swift: ‘Write something new that isn’t about Harry Styles’
Looks like Taylor’s having to shake off another hater!
British singer/songwriter Olly Murs has reportedly called T-Swizzle out on the latest Harry Styles inspired hit ‘Out of the Woods.’
The song is said to be nostalgic look back at her romantic, happier times with the 1D hottie as opposed to a f*ck you track, but that still doesn’t sit well with Murs.
Speaking to 2Day FM, the ‘Troublemaker’ star weighed in on Taylor’s 1989 album and gave his two cents on her choice to pen yet another song about his pal, Harry.
"Come on [Taylor], let it go. Write something new that isn't about Harry. Bless him, it's been like two years and he's still getting lashed out isn't he?"
Awkwardly, Olly hasn’t actually heard the song or read the lyrics, but that clearly didn’t stop him from sticking up for his main man.
In actual fact, according to Swift, the song is completely void of any nasty insults toward her former flame and all that ‘jaded ex-lover’ attitude was left at the door. For once.
“The song is about fragility and kind of breakable nature of some relationships," Taylor explained in a personal YouTube post. "This was a relationship where I was kind of living day to day, wondering where it was going, if it was going to go anywhere, if it was going to end the next day.”
Adding that in the end, the relationship was “beautiful and worthwhile."
