Taylor Swift Is Getting Dragged By The Internet For ‘Disgusting’ Tour Ticket Promo
ICYMI: Taylor Swift has teamed up with Ticketmaster to promote a new way to purchase her concert tickets.
The program, called ‘Taylor Swift Tix’, is based on prioritising fans buying concert tickets over robots, but some people reckon there is another ulterior motive.
Taylor Swift Tix encourages fans to participate in “unique activities” to gain priority access to concert tickets. These activities include watching her music videos, tweeting, shopping her merchandise store and buying her album.
Check out this video advertisement of the program here, featuring really cute cats:

While the adorable cats and evil robot animation is cute, Twitter is not happy with this program at all, suggesting it favours fans who spend more money, gaining them access to something which should be readily available to all.
This is profit over people
Commerce over connection

A quick scroll through #TaylorSwiftTix is so revealing. A disgusting and unapologetic manipulation of an obsessed fan base.

It’s great that tickets aren't goin to scalpers, but this could potentially burden fans in a different way considering Taylor Swift tickets are already anticipated to be $100+, based on previous concerts.
