Taylor Swift sings ‘Livin’ On a Prayer’ with Bon Jovi and Prince William
Just when you thought Taylor Swift couldn’t possibly beat her performance at the ‘Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show’ earlier this month, she took to the stage on Tuesday for an impromptu song with non-other than Bon Jovi and Prince William.
No, we are not joking. Yes, this actually happened.
But when Bon Jovi took to the stage to sing ‘Livin’ On a Prayer’ no one could have expected the epic performance that was about to happen.
Bon Jovi invited the Duke of Cambridge to join him in the rendition, as you do, but Wills refused to get on stage unless Taylor joined them both.
So she did, and he did, and the resulting video is beyond-words hilarious, especially T-Swift double high-fiving the Prince at the end, because why not.
Swifty also took to the stage by herself, performing ‘I Knew You Were Trouble,’ ‘Love Story,’ and ‘Fifteen’ for the guests of the charity gala and apparently singing at the palace was a dream come true.
MTV News reported that when the 23-year-old got on stage she said: “I’m Taylor. It is very nice to meet you, especially under these circumstances.
“It is my first time playing at Kensington Palace, or any other palace for that matter ... I have to thank you, Prince William, for having me. It's amazing,” she continued.
The surreal experience was not lost on T-Swift, after playing ‘Love Story’ she said: “This has reference to palaces, princes and princesses and it is very strange that I end up playing it in a palace.”
After the event Swifty posted a photo of the trio performing on Instagram with the caption “OHHHHHH! LIVIN ON A PRAYERRRRR.”
Taylor also revealed that the Prince was very charming, saying: “He was very funny. I was really happy he was funny.”
