Taylor Swift To Take Over The Big Screen?
She may be best known for her chart-topping break-up hits, but now, country cutie Taylor Swift could be hitting the big screen in her most challenging role yet!
According to Variety, the young starlet is being lined up to play the role of singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell in a brand new biopic.
The film will be based on Sheila Weller's 2008 novel ‘Girls Like Us,’which follows the careers of singers Mitchell, Carly Simon and Carole King.
British tabloid The Sun tips actress Alison Pill, who has appeared in ‘Midnight in Paris’ and ‘The Newsroom,’ to play Carole, while ‘Mad Men’ star Jessica Pare is said to be the frontrunner for playing Carly.
If the rumours are true, this won’t be the first time the blonde beauty has crossed over to acting. Taylor had a role in the movie ‘Valentine’s Day,’ and most recently lent her voice to the Dr. Seuss movie ‘The Lorax.’
In an interview with MTV News back in March, Taylor confessed that “acting is something I’ve been fascinated by my entire life.”
“I would want to have the time, the ability and the love for something, the love for a character to where I could really make that commitment to it.”
