Alex Nation's Teen Mom Australia Episode 3 Recap
We are back! These eps just keep getting better, and juicer and more emotional.
Georgie is finding out that being career woman and a single mum at the same time can be a really hard gig and that having a 2-year-old is tough but having a teething 2-year-old is even tougher. She is dolled up to the nines ready for her graduation, but Miss Evie definitely has other plans. Georgie takes Evie along with Nanna to the ceremony and is hoping she stays quiet. “Tell her she’s dreamin'!”
We also meet gal pal Kayla who asks “how’s you and John?” which Georgie is finally admitting is not happening. Then Kayla is quick to bring up the fact that former friend Amy is right into John, which throws some unwanted salt into the broken relationship wound.
In this episode we have a great glimpse into John’s perception of the parenting world. Some of my favourite one liners were “she plays the guilt card, so I have to block her to look after my mental health” and “our personalities really just clash.” Well it turns out that’s only because they both want to go out on a Saturday night. So it's a matter of who is stinging for a bevy more?! John’s housemates collectively look like an up-and-coming underground indie rock band and I swear whilst they are discussing John and Georgie they are all thinking about band rehearsal in their garage after dinner.
Ammi’s is off for an ultrasound, naturally she’s hoping for a girl to go with their boy. Jordi just keeps on throwing out “a boy would be better” because we have all learnt that he reaaaaaallly likes to stir her up. Nine times out of 10 it works too! I’m so ready for when Ammi just loses her shit. I am just so in love with Jordi’s wardrobe, casually wearing the “welcome to reality” t-shirt to their second baby’s ultrasound may actually be as funny as the fuzzy pink dressing gown he wore in Episode 1. Yes, I am still obsessed with that get up! And we are back to money talk. Ammi wants to buy a horse and apparently you can get one for the small price of 3 g's. Perhaps just focus on the pending arrival first, darl. We wake up bright and early on a Friday in their household. “Thank fuck it's Friday,” Katya says.
Jordi and Katya work together in a factory and Ammi has been driving them both to work at some ungodly hour and she is totally over it. And I do not blame her!! Sleep is v precious when you’re a mum and have another on the way. You’re f*cking knackered and the last thing you want to do is be up at 5am.
Sita’s sister is getting married soon and the girls of the house are trying to pull off a surprise hens night. This covert mission seems near impossible given they are literally living on top of each other. How they won’t let it slip is beyond me but I am shocking with surprises so don’t ever leave anything like this up to me, EVER. The girls are ready to get “litty litty” and well, I wish I was getting “litty litty” with them.
I will never forget my first night out after Elijah. I went out with my girlfriends and we hit “da clubs” and two hours in I had two huge wet patches on my boobs. I'd leaked through my nursing pads and onto my Supre jumpsuit. Did I leave? Absolutely f-ing not, I savoured every moment and danced my ass off. Much regret the next day having to parent though.
Like a lot of mums, Sita isn’t happy with her postnatal body. This scene really struck a chord with me. Sita becomes so overcome with emotion and all I want to do is squeeze her. After breastfeeding Elijah it was like I woke up one morning and my full breasts were like deflated balloons. I just cried looking at myself in the mirror. I even went to see someone about breast augmentation, I was that unhappy. However, I learned to to accept my body and love it for all that it is even though it took me a bit of time to get there.
Sita (because she’s a boss) wants to get straight back into rugby. I say 'YASSSS QUEEN!' But imagine finding out that having a baby means that you have to wait a few weeks before you get back to playing full contact rugby? Enter abdominal muscle separation, what a bitch. So rugby is put on hold for a few more weeks BUT that’s OK because it’s litty litty time with her main girls!
The hens night is ON and Sita looks hot AF. While she is having a great time, it turns out that Thomson is going even harder with the boys at the bucks. Well it sounds like he is trying to be the main sponsor of the boys' event by throwing around a lot of their money and savings and constantly blowing up Sita’s phone, asking her to continually transfer more dosh. She finally finds sanity with the use of airplane mode! You’re going to have to find another sponsor for the night, Thomson.
