Channel Ten Responds To Claims They're Replacing Ali Oetjen As The Bachelorette
UPDATE: Channel Ten have now responded to claims that Ali will be replaced as The Bachelorette.
“Network Ten is looking forward to Ali finding love on The Bachelorette Australialater this year,” a spokeswoman has told news.com.au.
Well there, you go, straight from the horses mouth.
Apparently Channel 10 are in talks to dump Ali Oetjen as next seasons Bachelorette and replace her with Nikki Gogan from Richie Strahan's season of The Bachelor.
I’m 32, im ready to be married & have kids but I’m willing to wait until I find the right one. I’m so excited to have the chance to make meaning of my heart breaks & pick wisely to find an ever lasting love. #lighthearted #kindhearted #genuine #downtoearth #fitandactive #wantsafamily #cherisheshis #caring #supportive #honest #respectful #livesinaustralia ;) I have so much love to give 🌹 #bacherlorette #bacheloretteau
According to reports from NW magazine, show execs want to give her the flick after the less than warm response from the public after they announced her as the next Bachelorette.
"Before Grant's story even came out, fans were already outraged, calling her boring. It's a bit of a disaster!" said the NW source.
They're alledgedly in talks to bring back Nikki, who they believe would be better received by viewers.
"It would be a brutal move to replace Ali after she's been announced, but Nikki will bring in the ratings without a doubt -- everyone is still obsessed with her finding The One," continued the source.
Yowcchhhh, this definitely a harsh pill for the 32-year-old personal trainer to swallow. But if true, we reckon Channel 10 will cop a whole lotta backlash themselves.
Let's see how this one plays out.
