Bee Gees superstar Robin Gibb has died following a long battle with cancer.
The family of the 62-year-old have released an official statement confirming the news.
“The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery,” read the statement.
“The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time."
The talented singer, along with his brothers Maurice and Barry, sold more than 200 million records worldwide.
Their best known hits include ‘How Deep Is Your Love,’ ‘Stayin’ Alive,’ and ‘How Can You Mend A Broken Heart.’
