There’s Gonna Be A 'Hunger Games' Theme Park & We’ll See You At The Capitol
Have you ever dreamed about how you and your squad would last in the Hunger Games? Have you ever thought about entering because you’re amazing in kickboxing classes / you’re really good at body-paint camouflage? Then boy, have your prayers been answered!
Lionsgate Entertainment Company have just revealed that they’re going to launch an interactive Hunger Games experience in South Korea. According to the press release we will have the ability to “experience actual movie scenes”, and we can’t tell if we’re excited or terrified. For now it is unclear, which districts we’re getting, but we’re hoping for at least 12 (and the Capitol obvs).
The Hunger Games World is to be part of Lionsgate Movie World, which means it exists as a “zone” amongst other worlds, similar to the layout of Disneyland. So get ready to jump from Katniss’ home to Edward & Bella’s school with a Twilight-themed world planned for the park also.
In addition to these two zones, there is also a Now You See Me magic-themed world planned, as well as a Robin Hood one (dedicated to the 2018 upcoming remake).
The theme-park is due to begin construction in 2018, for an expected opening in 2019.
