Just A Theory: We Reckon Christina Aguilera, The Pussycat Dolls & Other '00s Icons Could Be Headlining A Massive Throwback Pop Festival
Not all heroes wear capes, and not all detectives wear trench coats. In fact, some of ‘em, (cough: our very savvy content producer) wear denim shirts and trainers.
So, we (he) did some digging, and have a hot theory which, if right, could send the entire 2000s cohort into a frenzy.
Off the back of a massive RnB Fridays throwback tour, Frontier Touring are teasing the return of their festival, So Pop, to Australia and NZ. The full line-up isn’t due to be announced until next Monday (Dec 2nd), but based on what we picked up in the trailer, we reckon the festival has the potential to be the biggest ‘00s reunion ever.

We consulted some experts, sat and studied every frame of the trailer and think the line-up could be something like this: Christina Aguilera, The Pussycat Dolls, Mandy Moore and Jesse McCartney(!!!). Now, just to be clear, this is entirely speculative — our theory’s essentially based on which stars we could make out on the posters featured in the promo — but you know, we reckon there could be something in it.
The Pussycat Dolls only officially announced they were back together this week (read all about it here), with all but one of the OGs returning to the group. As HuffPost has it, the original creator of The PCD, Robin Antin, said that it “at this time, it wasn’t right” for former doll Melody Thornton to return, but the other PCDs say the door is always open for her to join 'em at a later stage.
Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long for our theory to be proven right — the full line-up is due to be revealed on 6am on Monday. As soon as we know the deets, we’ll pass them along.
