Mike Skinner Tweets About Teeth
Mike Skinner has been using his Twitter account to release new songs while he works on album #5. Seems that's the way artists do it these days. The Streets producer/MC/frontman has been posting links to free downloads via his Twitter account for the last couple of weeks. Three songs have already been made available, 'I Love My Phone', 'Trust Me' and 'David Hassles', with more promised.
"Three more tunes next week," he wrote on his Twitter page (twitter.com/skinnermike). "I've really enjoyed this week. Thanks for listening."
Skinner released his fourth album last year, 'Everything is Borrowed'. His fifth album is supposed to be the last one before he retires 'The Streets' as a moniker. According to a post on his MySpace: "The final Streets album will be dark and futuristic." Apparently it's influenced by Berlin and has ravey elements, aka, "dancing music to drink tea to."
In the meantime, you can keep track of Mike Skinner's life via his hourly Tweets, e.g. "Today I felt the need to brush my teeth in the middle of the day as well as morning and night. No jokes about my teeth please."
