The White Stripes Are Back
It’s been over two years coming, but The White Stripes look set to reunite.
The rock duo have been on hold whilst member Meg White recovered from her anxiety problem that caused the split, but according to frontman Jack White, she’s back on track.
When asked about the band getting back together, he told The Times, "I would like to.
"I don't think her anxiety exists anymore. but I don't know. She was there when we were rehearsing for The Dead Weather, and [my wife] Karen [Elson]'s band was rehearsing in the next building.”
But the singer-guitarist, who’s also released the second Raconteurs album ‘Consolers of the Lonely’ and The Dead Weather’s debut ‘Horehound’, says a reunion could take a while.
He adds, "Meg’s still involved and everything. but we've never sat down and gone, 'Okay, so don't forget to block out three months'. We never did that, even in the thick of craziness of The White Stripes, I have nothing planned after this month coming up, but I know that it all will be filled up really fast.”
No matter how long it takes, we'll be waiting.
