We’re Pleased To Report That A ‘Tiger King’ Museum Is On The Way
As if 2020 wasn't weird enough... a Tiger King-themed museum is on its way. It apparently features some of Joe Exotic’s most prized possessions, including his crown and penis pump.
How? Why? Well, TMZ is reporting actor Zak Bagans was at the zoo with Jeff Lowe recently. He was filming an ep of his show, Ghost Adventures, when Jeff gifted him a heap of Joe’s old things to exhibit at Zak’s museum. Among the haul was Joe’s 'crown, pill bottles, flashy clothing, wedding trinkets, penis pump and Travis Maldonado’s glass pipe,' TMZ writes. Zak also managed to score himself the park’s original ‘Exotic Animal Park’ sign, plus a section of an art mural wall featuring a bullet hole from Joe's late husband Travis' tragic death.
The collection will be the exhibited at Zak's museum in Vegas. You can view all the items Jeff gifted Zak here.
The Ghost Adventures episode featuring the zoo should air on A&E on Foxtel sometime in October. Production reportedly had to stop filming when two cadaver dogs found what was believed to be human remains. They turned out to be animal bones.
Joe Exotic is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence after being found guilty of 19 crimes including charges related to animal abuse and the murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin. His husband Dillon Passage appeared on The Project in June, saying Joe had been in solitary confinement for the past four months, something he called “cruel and unusual punishment to the max, for sure”.
“I’ve only been able to speak to him maybe six times since the show dropped. It’s pretty ridiculous. The only time I can chat to him is with the lawyers on call,” Dilon explained. Joe had previously written an open letter to his fans, explaining he suffers from anaemia, which requires monthly blood transfusions. He wrote that he hadn’t been getting them since January and predicted that he would be dead within two to three months.
Dillon told The Project that he was worried about Joe's mental health too. “He’s [Joe] not doing good. He’s doing his best to stay hopeful and wishing for the best, but it’s heart-wrenching for him. And a really big downer. He can’t necessarily grasp and stay updated with what’s happening out here.”
