3 Aussie Getaways Where You Can ~Relax & Recharge~ This Christmas
Christmas is traditionally a time to be joyous and filled with festive spirit...but let's be honest, it's also kind of stressful.
First, there's all of those 'end of year catchups' you've got to squeeze in, then there's nailing your family and friend's Xmas gifts, and then there's all the booze and food-filled parties, leaving very little time for you to find your inner zen and *actually* blow off some steam.
That's why we've teamed up with legends at Fujifilm Instax to give you three Aussie getaways that are perfect for ~recharging and relaxing~ this Christmas.
Oh, and did we mention, they're all just one hour's drive away from each other!?
1. Callala Beach
Just three hours drive south of Sydney you'll find yourself in Callala Bay, a charming coastal town on the northern shore of Jervis Bay. Apart from the countless activities it offers (sailing, fishing, swimming, snorkelling, bushwalking and more) Callala Bay is the ideal place to switch off and tell Santa you'll be seeing him later. At the beach you'll find white sand and aqua blue water as far as the eye can see, and on dry land you'll find sand forests, eucalypt woodlands and plenty of kangaroos. If you're in need of a *literal* breath of fresh air, Callala is the perfect pit stop for your end-of-year escape.
If rolling green hills, amazing food, and plenty of history is more your cup of tea, Berry needs a spot on your bucket list. Just over a 30 minute drive from Callala Bay, Berry is renowned for being the perfect weekend getaway. Why? A) Berry is ~stunning~ which is probbaly why it's home to so many weddings, B) it's brimming with amazing local produce, award-winning restaurants, cafes and wineries, making it a foodie's paradise, and C) it offers plenty for those who want to unwind at places like the Back 2 Earth famstay, or seek adventure with horse riding, whale watching, surfing and much more.
3. Nellie's Glen Waterfall
Go chasing waterfalls during your Christmas break at Nellie's Glen, just under an hour's drive from Berry. Surrounded by lush bushland and rocky terrain, this picturesque swimming hole is what Instagram dreams are made of. Once you've enjoyed a dip, there are plenty of places at Nellie's Glen to picnic, bushwalk, and even camp if the mood strikes. Planning on staying? There are a number of cute AF B&Bs and cottages in nearby Robertson. TBH, this is the most refreshed you'll feel all year. #howstheserenity
