The Ultimate Guide To Anzac Day In Sydney
Anzac Day is upon us once again and to celebrate we have compiled a guide to paying tribute and celebrating with friends and family here in Sydney.
Here's how to get involved from Dawn Service to Two-Up this Tuesday for the 102nd year commemorating Australian and New Zealand troops service at Gallipoli...
The Cenotaph, Martin Place
This is the most-attended Dawn Service, expected to hit capacity by 3am, with large television screens in support for those craning for a view. At 4am VIP veterans arrive for a 4:30am start.
North Bondi RSL Club, Bondi Beach
This Dawn Service starts later at 6am, but involves all the traditional odes including, 'The Last Post' and the reverent 'Minute’s Silence', all against the backdrop of North Bondi's sands.
The Cenotaph, Miranda
On the other side of Sydney at the Miranda Cenotaph, Dawn Service is held at 5:30am involving prayers, laying of wreaths and singing the national anthems of both Australia and New Zealand.

Due to the early start, we recommend grabbing coffee and brekkie with friends and family or taking a nap before the rest of the day’s activities.
Two-Up Venues (that do food just as well)
While pubs and bars are only allowed to serve alcohol after 11am, some dining venues can be open all day, particularly anywhere serving coffee for the early risers at Dawn Service. But if it's Two-Up you're looking for, we've got you covered with our favourite venues that do food just as well.
The Bucket List, Bondi
Full A La Carte menu available plus icy cold buckets of Coronas. Open from 11am, with 2up in the courtyard, DJs will pump tunes from 2pm.
The Glenmore Hotel, The Rocks
You can head from the CBD service straight to The Rocks where The Glenmore Hotel opens from 8am. The bar will open at midday to accompany your two-up with a view – get in early to snag a coveted rooftop spot overlooking Sydney Harbour.
The Woollahra Hotel
With Two-Up from 11am and DJs from 5pm, you know you're in for a sore head come Tuesday, but the Monday night footy is there to help!
West Village, Petersham
Hosted by Young Henry’s, 2-Up will kick off from midday at West Village in Petersham. To fuel up for the day's activities we recommend their 'Aussie Burger' with all your favourites.
Beach Road Hotel, Bondi
Enter the Beach Road Hotel free of charge and be ready for a mega game of two-up in its own custom-built grandstand! Doors open at 8am, but pace yourselves because you'll be celebrating well into the night with a long lineup of DJs.
Harpoon Harry, Surry Hills
A special Anzac day menu awaits along with two-up and a wide selection of beers - you won't be just getting pub grub this Anzac Day. Check out the full menu here (we recommend the Johnny Cakes with Pimento Cheese!)
The Manly Wharf Hotel, Manly
On the flipside of the Harbour, you can leave the Manly Dawn Service to attend The Manly Wharf Hotel’s festivities. Play two-up on the jetty until the sunsets and then be ready to dance with a mega lineup of DJs from 7pm.
The Collaroy Hotel, Collaroy
Kicking off at 11am, indulge in a delish coastal lunch or get involved in a game of two-up in the upstairs dining area amid a slew of live entertainment.
