Sydney Newest Restaurant Is Perfect For People Who Need A Digital Detox
There's no doubt we're all glued to our phones, especially at the dinner table, but one Sydney restaurant is fighting the good fight and encouraging us to switch off!
Situated in the back streets of Woolloomooloo, is Contact Bar and Kitchen; a restaurant that boasts a very "unique digital-detox dining experience." Diners are given the option to hand their phones over at the bar, completely switch off and truly connect with the delights on their plate and the people around them.
Of course, you're not required to lock up your phones, but there's a pretty good incentive to do so; You'll come out of the experience a lot happier. Oh, and you could nab yourself a reward.
“We wanted to create a charming space, where people could be comfortable and relax, away from their busy lives and constant distractions," Owner Markus Stauder said.
We are so on board for this!
Apart from having a great ethos, Contact Bar and Kitchen has the food to match! Treat yourself to a delicious menu inspired by Stauder's Italian heritage, featuring perfectly-seasoned slow-cooked pork, kingfish tartare and a mouth-water glazed duck dish, just to name a few. All championed by head chef, Marco Giuliani.
Contact is open for breaky, lunch and dinner and will soon be available for private functions.
