5 Things To Do In Bondi If You're Not A Hipster
This article is brought to you by our good friends at Vodka O - born and bred in Bondi.
When you think of Bondi you immediately associate the iconic coastal hotspot with their native inhabitants: the hipster. But would you believe us if we told you that you didn't need to draw out your a's and o's to have a good time in this magical beach town?
With summer just around the corner we've decided to put together a list of things you can do in Bondi even if you're not a hipster. So stop growing your perfectly manicured beard, put away the edgy strategically ripped t-shirt and throw out the felt hat - and just enjoy the pleasures of Bondi without the pressures of being ~scene~ bra.
Did you know that Bondi has a burgeoning arts scene? The Flickerfest International Short Film Festival takes place every year in January and sees the Bondi Pavillion become host to a massive screen that plays a bunch of impressive short films right by the beach. Bring along your picnic rug and watch some films all while the waves roll in behind you.
Calling all short filmmakers! Only 2 weeks left to submit your entries for #Flickerfest2019 International #ShortFilmFestival . Entries close 28 Sept 2018. 'No Lights, No Lycra' is a dance class that encourages attendeees to let go of all inhibitions and head along to an exercise class in the dark. SIGN US UP.

Aboriginal Walking Tour
Wade through all of the Matcha Chai Latte's and organic Avo toast, and you'll find there is quite a lot of indigenous history on the shores of Bondi. Groups will also be treated to a traditional perormance from the Diramu Aboriginal Dance to really get in touch with the rich history of this country.

Techically heading along to the beach is deemed a hipster activity but it's what you do there that will really define your status. Gordon's Bay is nestled behind Bondi in what is one of the most secluded spots for a dip in the sea. But pop on a snorkle and some flippers and really get up close and personal with the amazing ocean life trucking away under the surface. Just remember to slip slop slap.
