Union J’s George Shelley plans date with Selena Gomez in Portugal
A rep for the ‘Carry You’ star told E! News that the Brit boy band will be supporting Gomez in Lisbon, Portugal in September and Shelley’s hoping to nab that much-awaited meet-and-greet with the ‘Come & Get It’ singer.
Back in June, Selena recorded a video message for Shelley, which was played during the “gobsmacked” lad’s appearance on TV show ‘Friday Download.’
“I was in London for a bit and I’m actually really bummed I missed you,” Selena told George in the short clip. “So next time, maybe give me a call?”
Justin Bieber’s ex had made the video in response to Shelley revealing to Sugarscape earlier this year that he had an “undying crush” on the brunette beauty.
Speaking to The Mirror recently about Sel’s video message, Shelley dished: “Selena’s one of those massive celebrities who doesn’t even know you exist, so I was gobsmacked.
“I thought it was a lookalike at first [in the video]. I could feel my cheeks going red and the lads laughed at me.”
As for the potential Portugal date, it looks like George has already worked out how he’s going to play his cards, revealing: “I will try to call Selena beforehand so it’s not too awkward when we meet.
“My perfect date would be to go to the beach at night. We could have a little bonfire.”
“Jesy is one of my best mates. We’re really close,” insisted Shelley. “Jesy wouldn’t be at all annoyed if I met up with Selena – she’d probably want to come too.”
