MTV Upload Of The Week: Charlz 'Colors'
Writing and recording from the age of twelve, singer/songwriter Charlz was always going to have an impact.
The Melbournian signed her first record deal shortly after finishing high school before embarking on a six-month musical journey in Los Angeles. Her talents have never been more evident than on her latest release ‘Colors’ a delicate dance of harmonies and captivating vocals full of quiet intensity.
'Colors' was born from a collaboration with Australian Grammy-Award winning producer, M-Phazes, who is best known for his work with Eminem, Amy Shark and Alison Wonderland.
“I don’t think I’ve harassed an artist to put out a song more than I have with ‘Colors’. I still remember hearing the demo Charlie sent me, and being floored," said M-Phazes.
M-Phazes is clearly a fan and he’s not the only one. In 2017, Charlz supported Khalid, undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars in the world, on his Australian tour.
We can’t wait to hear what’s next for Charlz.
