This Teen From The Shire Casually Caught A Huge Bull Shark Coz 'Straya
Welcome to Australia, where teenagers wrestle a three-metre sharks in the middle of the night like it ain't no thang.
Kai George, an Aussie teenager from the Shire, heard about rumours of a huge shark lurking in the waters around Port Hacking and decided it was the perfect opportunity for him and his mates to try and find the little sucker.
"We thought what have we got to lose, we're just a bunch of teenagers looking for a big shark," he told Sunrise.
Well, lo and behold, Kai and his buddies found the 3.28 metre bull shark and after wrestling it for four hours and taking a few pics for proof, they set it free.
While some locals weren't too happy about Kai letting the shark swim away, the 16-year-old said "They're beautiful creatures and they deserve to be in the ocean."
"Everyone's saying that because they swim in the river and cause their kids are swimming here and it's a very very popular swimming and wakeboarding spot, they're not too keen on it anymore."
We won't be taking a dip around there any time soon but we are glad these boys set the shark free!
