Trump Says He's Gonna 'Take A Look' At Giving A Presidential Pardon To Joe Exotic
In huge news coming out of the US this morning, a reporter asked US president Donald Trump if he would pardon Joe Exotic of Netflix’s Tiger King, and Trump said he’d “take a look”.

The news was shared in a tweet and, at the time of writing this, had received 2.4k retweets and 7k likes… in just two hours.
For background, the “pardon” the reporter was referring to is a federal pardon, which is an action the US prez can take that completely sets aside the punishment for a federal crime. So, essentially, if Trump was to pardon Exotic, it would mean the former zoo owner would be released from prison immediately and have his 22-year jail sentence entirely waived.
Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, had been sentenced for his part in a murder-for-hire plot against animal activitist (and fellow zoo keeper) Carole Baskin.
This week, another star of the show, Jeff Lowe, shared that Netflix was set to drop another episode of Tiger King and were coming to the zoo the following day to film for it. Netflix itself has yet to confirm or deny the rumours - but we're hopeful.
Honestly, though, bravo to the streaming service for really understanding that timing is everything and for choosing now as the time to drop the ultimate distraction show. We cannot thank them enough.
