Facebook Have Just Introduced 'Reactions' So You Can Better Express Your Feels

We're bracing ourselves...

You know when you see something on Facebook and your feelings towards it aren't a like but they aren't exactly worth an angry comment either? Well, thanks to the newly introduced Facebook 'Reactions' you'll now be able to let the online community know exactly how you feel via cute little emojis.

Introducing the newest members of the Facebook family: 'love', 'haha,' 'wow,' 'sad,' and 'angry'.

Whilst it might seem like a no brainer to introduced the omnipresent 'emoji' into the world of Facebook, the decision to do so was widely tested at Facebook HQ for over a year before finally launching the feature today.

In a blog posted to the Facebook Newsroom, Product Manager Sammi Krug explained just how much deliberation went into rolling out 'Reactions.'

We understand that this is a big change, and want to be thoughtful about rolling this out. For more than a year we have been conducting global research including focus groups and surveys to determine what types of reactions people would want to use most. We also looked at how people are already commenting on posts and the top stickers and emoticons as signals for the types of reactions people are already using to determine which reactions to offer.

Change is inevitable but there will likely be a transitional period with this feature, with many people 'not too sure about this one.'

This is a maje new addition to how we use FB and will hopefully give you guys some more room to express yourself when it comes to our articles. We look forward to seeing plenty of 'love' popping up on our feed. Thanks in advance.
