Ryan Murphy Just Spilled Some Juicy Details On Emma Roberts' Role In AHS: Cult
ICYMI, American Horror Story alum Emma Roberts has officially joined Cult.
Show creator Ryan Murphy announced the news back in August, writing: "Look who showed up on the set of Cult looking glamorous and ready for action."
Well, details about her character have finally been revealed & we're not sure if she'll come out of the show's seventh season alive.
The 26-year-old actress is set to appear in one episode, and because it's AHS, she'll probs be killed off in a gruesome fashion.
"Emma was on American Horror Story, and then, she went to Scream Queens, and now she's back on American Horror Story," he told Digital Spy. "She plays a Michigan newscaster named Serina Belinda who is promoted above Adina Porter's character simply because she's much more superficial and willing to do what it takes to survive. So, she is here for one episode."
"She did it as a favour. She carved it out in her movie schedule. But it's really fun to work with people that way," he continued.
"And we really encourage all of the people on our show, like, once you're in that world, like, okay, if you want to go off and do something else, that's great, but come back."
He also hinted Jessica Lange & Kathy Bates were likely to return:
"You know, it happens with Jessica [Lange]. I'm sure she'll be back one day," he predicted. "Kathy Bates went off to do Chuck [Lorre]'s show [Disjointed]. She'll come back one day. Wants to come back."
"It's just a very fluid way of working to have a group of people that you love that you can bring back and forth. And the other thing I like to do is to say, 'What have you always wanted to play?' to people."
"And that was something that Emma and I had always made a joke about, her being a newscaster. So, her dream finally came true," he added.
AHS returns next month, take a look at the latest teaser:
