ICYMI Diplo Had 'An Entire A** Baby' But Hasn't Met The Little Guy Yet Because Of Coronavirus
Coronavirus has robbed us of many things, and for big-time DJ and record producer Diplo, it’s the chance to meet his newborn baby.
In some of the wildest news we’ve heard in a while, Diplo announced on Monday that he’s the father of model Jevon King’s newborn boy, Pace, or as he so eloquently put it: “had an entire ass baby during quarantine.” He has a way with words.
Diplo’s glamorous baby mamma is a former Miss Universe contestant from Trinidad and Tobago, and while she announced she was expecting her first child way back in October, she never disclosed who the daddy was, not even when he was born on March 20.
But then Diplo went ahead and dropped the paternity news, revealing that he is in fact Pace’s father in a Mother’s Day post on Instagram. The 41-year-old shared a gallery of three images: one of himself and his mum, one of his ex Kathryn Lockhart and their two sons, and one of Jevon King kissing the cute-as-pie Pace in her arms.
“The three strongest mothers in the world … I’m still a work in progress but you have given three perfect beautiful boys. I love you all til the moon and back,” he wrote.
He followed the baby bombshell news with an even bigger bombshell: he hasn’t even met his newborn bub yet.
“So I had an entire ass baby during quarantine,” he captioned another video of lil Pace on Insta. “I was hesitant to post him because not only does he already have a better haircut than me. But also because I haven’t met him yet since we are separated by a million miles and closed borders.”
WILD, we know.
Obviously King sent him the video (you can hear her talking to the lil man in it), but the pair don’t seem to be together. Diplo told The Cut in December he “isn’t really dating”, so we assume this whole bebe thing to be the result of a steamy but fleeting fling.
Even still, imagine knowing you were having a baby and not being able to meet him? Let’s just wrap our heads around that for a minute...
These do be crazy times.
