Twitter Wants T-Swift’s 'The Last Great American Dynasty' Made Into A Movie Ft Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds & We Like This Plan A Lot

More folklore news.

And the Taylor Swift/folklore updates keep on coming. Hot on the tails of news Tay Tay will perform “Betty” for the first time ever this Wednesday at the Academy of Country Music Awards is another update: there’s now talk her song “The Last Great American Dynasty” could be made into a film with a cast including Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Major, but, again, at this stage, just talk.

It all began when a fan pointed it out as a possibility, as reported by TooFab. "'The Last Great American Dynasty' would make an incredible movie," they wrote on Twitter. "The story is timeless yet unique, the music would be exquisite, and it already has the perfect title." The user went on to tag Blake, Ryan and Jesse in the tweet.

Not long after, Jesse responded to the tag, confirming that yep, he was available and down for the potential project.

Ryan was next, writing: “But Bill’s heart?”

If you didn’t know, the song was inspired by the true story behind Tay Tay’s newest house, which was once owned by socialite Rebekah West Harkness. Rebekah’s husband William aka Bill was an oil heir who died in 1954 of a heart attack she was blamed for. After his death, Rebekah continued to live in the Rhode Island home he’d left her until her death in 1982. Tay Tay bought the house years later, in 2013.

Tay Tay herself entered the chat, replying to Ryan with: "Not trying to be 'the loudest woman this town has ever seen but... I LOVE THIS!"

And finally, Blake chimed in, writing: “I painted Ryan key lime green …I can’t wait til he wakes up.” The reference is the line in the song: “And in a feud with her neighbour / She stole his dog and dyed it key lime green.”

This wouldn’t be the only connection Blake and Ryan have to folklore. Taylor’s song “Betty” revealed the name of their third child – you guessed it, Betty – and also included names of their other two kids, James and Inez.

“I named all the characters in this story after my friends' kids... and I hope you like it!” Taylor wrote of “Betty”.
