Charli D’Amelio Jets To The Bahamas Just Days After Lecturing Fans On Pandemic-Appropriate Behaviour

Charli D’Amelio, her sister Dixie and a heap of other influencers flouted California's COVID-19 restrictions for a trip to the Bahamas.

Just days after telling fans to "stop being so inconsiderate to others" during an active pandemic, Charli D'Amelio – a resident of California where travel bans still loom large – took off on a holiday to the Bahamas. Was this performance art? A live demonstration of what not to do? We just don't know.

"If you're using this time to hang out with your friends since you don't have school, please, I'm asking you, please stop being so inconsiderate to others," the TikTok queen had said in an Instagram Live. "You may think this isn't going to affect me, or it isn't that bad. You are putting other people at risk to get hurt and to be in pain." Yep. Points were made.

Days later, according to Instagram watchdog account TikTok Room, D'Amelio, her sister Dixie and a crew of other young influencers, including Noah Beck, Chase Hudson, Avani Gregg, Madi Monroe, Bryant and others hopped on a plane to to the Bahamas – you know, to hang out with friends and be inconsiderate to others.

To be fair, though, these are influencers we're talking about, and influencers are famously unable to contract or transmit COVID-19 [this claim has been disputed]. Oh, now I understand. Charli's screed on Instagram Live was directed to non-influencers. You know, the unrich. The peasant classes. The riff-raff. How noble.

As of NYE, the US state of California has surpassed 25,000 coronavirus-related deaths, with a ban on travel currently in place throughout the region. Hospitals are reportedly so overwhelmed, they're not only low on intensive care unit beds; they're worried about running out of morgue space.

No comment yet from Charli, but no doubt she'll post something very soon. You can be sure we'll be all over it when she does.
