Penn Badgley and his wife Domino Kirke have welcomed their first child together.
In a case of real-life picking up where TV life left off, Joe Goldberg, er, Penn Badgley, has officially become a dad. The actor, who had a fictional baby on the way at the end of season two of Netflix’s You has now welcomed a baby boy in real life with his wife, singer Domino Kirke.
This week, Domino shared an Instagram post of a painting of a womb done using her placenta blood. “His heart shaped home #40dayspostpartum #placentaart,” she captioned it.
Later, on her Instagram Story, she shared a photo of her and her new bub snoozing together.
The baby is the first for Penn, but second for Domino, who has a 10-year-old son with an ex-partner.
Domino shared the news they was expecting back in February, sharing the tragic news that she and Penn had previously suffered two miscarriages.
“On the road again... pregnancy after loss is a whole other thing. After two miscarriages in a row we were ready to call it. I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was done. As a birth attendant, I’ve seen and heard it all. It takes everything I’ve got to detach lovingly from the losses I’ve been present for and be in my own experience," she wrote.
“When I was pregnant at 25, I knew nothing. I had no community. I dove in blissfully unaware about birth and its mysteries. Now, with 10 years worth of experience to pull from, I treasure my birth community and the knowledge I have. You’re already teaching us how to stay in the day in a way we’ve never had to, little one. Thank you.”
Congrats to Penn and Domino!
