YOUR FAVORITE MTV SHOWS ARE ON PARAMOUNT+

The Second Season Of ‘Never Have I Ever’ Drops In July 2021. Netflix Is Healing.

The second season of Mindy Kaling’s teen sitcom is upon us, and we've got the pictures to prove it.

Hey, remember Never Have I Ever? Devi? Fabiola? Paxton? John McEnroe, for some reason?  Yeah you do. It feels like it's been an age, but it was only a year ago that the first season of the wildly popular teen sitcom, honing in on the life of 15-year-old high school student Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) dropped on Netflix and changed how we felt about U2's "Beautiful Day" forever.

Created by Mindy Kaling, Never Have I Ever sees the slightly-obnoxious-but-lovable Devi navigate her relationship with her best friends Fabiola and Eleanor (Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young), argue with her mother (Poorna Jagannathan), war with her nemesis Ben (Jaren Lewison) and try her best to seduce jock guy Paxton (Darren Barnet). What's more, the whole thing is narrated by tennis commentator John McEnroe, and it somehow just works.

Anyway, it was about 3am here in Australia when Maitreyi herself tweeted that Never Have I Ever's second series is dropping on Netflix in July 2021, complete with some first look photos from the new season. Can you believe we were sleeping when this happened? Pathetic.

Yup, the photos reveal a pretty obvious love triangle situation, showing Devi making a list of pros and cons for her two love interests, Paxton and Ben. Good for her.

What's more, it looks as though Devi's mum Nalini (Poorna Jagannathan) has a love interest of her own, in the form of [checks notes] Common. Yup, like the rapper. Common. I'm suddenly more invested in this relationship than I am my own life.

There's no word thus far when in July the new season will make it to our eyeballs, but look, the generous photo drop more than makes up for the mystique.
