Backstreet Boys Reunited To Sing ‘I Want It That Way’ From Their Lounge Rooms & It's The Best Thing We've Seen In A While
You are my fire, the one desiiiiire. Believe when we sayyy Backstreet Boys performing "I Want It That Way" from their lounge rooms is exactly what we wanted to see today. From our phone. On our laptop. On the big screen projector we wish we had RN.
The ‘90s boy band came together – and when we say together, we really mean ‘virtually together but physically from their lounge rooms’ – to sing the 1999 hit for Elton John’s iHeartRadio’s Living Room Concert for America. The virtual concert also included Alicia Keys, Demi Lovato and Billie Eilish and was put on to raise money (and morale) for families in need.
But back to the boys. In their epic music video, Littrell opened by saying “So, we wanted to do something a little different, a little special for you, bring our living room to yours”.
He then went on to explain he was staying in his own lounge room and the studio of his house, and would soon be joined by bandmates AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, and Kevin Richardson.
The video then sees the boys singing the entirety of the song. Highlights include (but are defs not limited to):
- Getting to see the huge backyard of Nick Carter’s swanky Vegas pad
- Also the fact Carter has not aged. Like, at all
- Littrell’s red PJ bottoms
- A cameo by Richardson’s two adorable boys
So yeah, there’s a lot happening here (you can catch the entire thing courtesy of 10Daily). Do yourself a favour and get around this. Finger’s crossed *NSYNC will give us some similar gold soon.
