Rihanna Is Suing Her Dad For Exploiting Her Name

...

There's no doubt that Rihanna is protective of her empire...and this time, it's because of her own dad.

According to TMZ, RiRi is suing her father, Ronald Fenty, for false advertising and invasion of privacy, claiming that he's been "improperly using her name" to benefit his company, Fenty Entertainment.

The suit says that Ronald and a man named Moses Perkins started the company in 2017 and has "repeatedly claimed that it is affiliated with Rihanna on its website and social media pages."

The lawsuit also claims that Fenty Entertainment "has used these lies in a fraudulent effort to solicit millions of dollars from unsuspecting third parties in exchange for the false promise that they were authorized to act on Rihanna’s behalf, and/or that Rihanna would perform at various locations throughout the world.”

“Although Mr. Fenty is Rihanna’s father, he does not have, and never has had, authority to act on Rihanna’s behalf, nor has he ever been authorized to use her name, intellectual property or publicity rights.”

As per the suit, Fenty Entertainment reportedly tried to book concerts for Rihanna without her knowing, including a set at the Staples Center in LA, and the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, coming to $400,000.

The suit says that while Ronald claimed he ran these ventures past Ri's label, Roc Nation, they never knew anything about it.

No word from Ronald it this point, but story is developing...
