Miley Cyrus saw a UFO and nobody believed her.
Like many celebrities before her (Tom Delonge, looking at you) the singer shared her 'sighting' in a new interview before going on to admit she had in fact been high at the time.
"I had an experience, actually," the 27-year-old told Interview magazine. "I was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO. I'm pretty sure about what I saw, but I'd also bought weed wax from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop, so it could have been the weed wax."
She continued: "But the best way to describe it is a flying snowplow. It had this big plow in the front of it and was glowing yellow. I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too. There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real."
Miley said she was so shook by it all that she couldn't "look at the sky" for a while afterwards, fearing "they might come back." Interestingly, though, she added that she didn't "feel threatened at all, actually."
She finished: "But I did see a being sitting in the front of the flying object. It looked at me and we made eye contact, and I think that's what really shook me, looking into the eyes of something that I couldn't quite wrap my head around. But you're so right to say that it's a form of narcissism to think that we're the only things that could be in this vast universe."
Miley and Tom are just the latest in a long list of celebs who reckon there's life outside our planet. In 2013, our very own Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi told Celebuzz: "They're real. We're not the only planet with civilisation", later tweeting: "Aliens are real."

Katy Perry has also tweeted about them, as well as written a whole song about 'em, "E.T.".
Even Gigi Hadid once said of her now-baby daddy Zayn Malik: "My boyfriend's really into aliens." So yeah, Hollywood has a fair few believers.
But back to Miley. Also in the Interview chat, she dropped that she's currently working on a Metallica cover album. Which, judging by her most recent covers, Britney Spears' "Gimme Me" on MTV's Unplugged and "Zombie" by The Cranberries on NIVA's Save Our Stages Fest, should be pretty epic.
In terms of personal life, Miley is currently single after splitting from Cody Simpson in August. Last month, she told Joe Rogan on his podcast she now had a non-negotiable in her dating life. "You better know what you want because I'm not interested in taking another 10 years," she said.
