Please Enjoy The Incredibly Wholesome Moment When Star-struck Reece Met Queen Katy Perry On 'Masterchef'
Katy Perry appeared on MasterChef last night, and it was even better than we could’ve ever imagined. There was an a capella version of "Hot N Cold". There was twerking against the countertops. And there was the moment that will go down in the show's history when the pop star called Jock “daddy”.
Oh yes, the American singer told the Scottish judge – and resident hottie, so, like, we get it – to “put in my mouth, Daddy” after being presented with some red-braised pork in a tasting session and telling Jock she couldn't cut it because she'd sprained her thumb.
“Will you cut my meat for me?” she began before singing: “Party in my mouth! Put it in my mouth, Daddy!'" as Jock started to cut it. Well hello.
Another (purer) highlight included when contestant Reece lost it upon meeting his idol. She called him "the tits". Please enjoy this very wholesome moment below.
Of course, all this was obviously filmed quite a while ago, before coronavirus and the necessary restrictions were put in place, and the ep has aired during a time when Perry's been getting pretty vocal about her experience being pregnant while in lockdown in the US.
Earlier this week, she tweeted: “Sometimes I don’t know what’s worse, trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm”.
And last weekend, at the virtual SHEIN Together event Katy attended to support the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO), she said: "I would say I have five good days and two days where I just, I cry when I look down at my toes or I cry when just doing simple tasks. I also think a lot of that is probably hormonal."
We hope watching this ep back serves as a lovely little pick-me-up; it seems to have worked for Reece.
