Well it's all over for another year. Australia's triple J Hottest 100 has wrapped up with the #1 spot being taken out by ya boi Kendrick Lamar and his meta-gangsta rap track 'HUMBLE'.

Kung Fu Kenny bagged top honours in the annual countdown after getting pipped last year by Aussie band The Rubens, with the rest of the top 10 most fire songs of the year -- as voted for my JJJ listeners -- rounded out by Gang Of Youths, who scored a whopping 3 tracks in there ('Let Me Down Easy' at #2, 'The Deepest Sighs, The Frankest Shadows' at #5 and 'What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?' at #10), plus Angus & Julia Stone's 'Chateau' at #3, Methul Ethel's 'Ubu' at #4, Lorde's 'Green Light' at #6, Pnau's 'Go Bang' at #7, Thundamentals' 'Sally' at #8 and Vance Joy's 'Lay It On Me' at #9.

But fans were disappointed with Kendrick's historic win for one main reason, because he declined a phone call with the national broadcaster to chat about it...

...making this the 1st time in Lorde-knows-how-long that the Hottest 100 winner hasn't jumped on the blower with JJJ after their big victory to debrief.

Even fellow international artist Macklemore had a gab on air after he took out the countdown with 'Thrift Shop' back in 2012.

However, Kendrick is notoriously publicity-shy so it's not exactly surprising. 

Still, he's the first person of colour to ever top the Hottest 100, which is kind of a big deal. And especially in a milestone year for the countdown, which was shifted from its traditional date of Australia Day (January 26) for the first time, out of respect for Indigenous Australians.
