Did Idris Elba Just Confirm He's Playing The Next James Bond With This Cryptic Tweet!?
The speculation surrounding who will play the next 007 has been going on for what feels like *actual* years now...
...But we might finally have a real hint as to who could be taking on the iconic role.
Idris Elba took to Twitter yesterday to post a selfie with the cryptic caption: "My name's Elba, Idris Elba."
The tweet has sent Elba's fans into a frenzy, and comes just days after the film's producer Barbara Broccoli said "it is time" for a non-white leading man to play the character.
Barbara also told director Antoine Fuqua that "Idris could do it if he was in shape. You need a guy with physically strong presence. Idris has that."
Idris is clearly a fan favourite, but he has stiff competition, up against the likes of James Norton, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, Henry Cavill, Michael Fassbender and of course, Daniel Craig.
Damn. That is a bunch of a bonafide thirst traps...
We're just going to have to wait and see who gets crowned 007, but we're seriously hoping the rumours about Idris are true!
