Undoubtedly The Hero Of 2020 Will Be The Release Of Stephanie Meyer's Long Awaited New Twilight Book

...

It has been 12 years. 12 long, horny years and the world is ready.

In what must be some kind of miracle, a glistening gift from the literary gods in our time of need/utter boredom, it has been announced that author, Stephanie Meyer, will be releasing her long-awaited, cursed novel, Midnight Sun.

“I am very excited to finally, finally announce the release of Midnight Sun on August 4," she said in an interview with Good Morning America. "It's a crazy time right now and I wasn't sure if this was the right time to put this book out, but some of you have been waiting for just so, so long. It didn't seem fair to make you wait anymore. Sorry about the bad timing. Hopefully this book can be a distraction from the real world. I'm so excited to finally be able to share it with you."

And we're excited to finally consume this new release. Quite literally HOOK IT TO OUR VEINS.

Midnight Sun will tell the now infamous story of forbidden first love from the perspective of Edward Cullen who is now synonymous with the devilishly handsome, Robert Pattinson, who portrayed him in the film series.

"While I was procrastinating some real editing work (I’m always at my most creative when procrastinating), I started to wonder how the first chapter of Twilight would read if it were written from Edward’s perspective. There is so much more to his side of the story than there is to Bella’s in that first chapter," wrote Meyer.

This shock announcement was out of the realm of possibilities for fans who were all too aware of the controversies marring the books release. Back in 2008 a draft of the book was leaked online and that was enough to spook Meyer into hitting an indefinite pause on the project. And this is why we can't have nice things.

But also this is why we can have nice things because it looks like time heals all wounds and the people are truly grateful.

Of course anyone in their right mind starts to wonder whether or not we'll be getting Mignight Sun as a movie. You've thought about it, we've thought about it, everyone has thought about it.

But whether or not RPattz would be on board to reprise his role is another thing. When asked back in 2017 if he'd be keen he responded with, "you never know." Hey, that's good enough for us.

Failing that, when this lockdown is all done and dusted you can always head to the Swan residence and stay the night in that cosy little Airbnb and pretend you're about the be rescued by a vampire. Sounds, perfect?
