James Charles has found himself in yet another bad position. The YouTuber is embroiled in a legal saga after reports surfaced that allege he mistreated and unfairly fired his former producer, Kelly Rocklein. Kelly is reportedly suing James for unfair dismissal.

Charles took to social media to post a lengthy video calling the entire situation “just disgusting” and refuting each of Rocklein’s claims.

Since Charles’ video (which at present has been viewed nearly 2 million times), Rocklein has provided more information about her experience working with Charles, and stated that she’s received death threats from his fans since speaking out.

Speaking to Insider, Kelly claimed she was working 80 hours a week or more, and wasn’t being paid overtime.

"He was making monstrous money at 18 years old, and I literally couldn't even afford to pay my full rent,” Rocklein reportedly said. She also claimed his behaviour at work was “incredibly unprofessional”.

"Imagine having to go over and essentially pick James up out of bed, tell him to brush his teeth, tell him, 'OK, what do you want to eat? OK, someone is coming to do your laundry. OK, I'm going to get your laundry, I guess. OK, time to start filming — you don't want to film — well, we both know you have to. So please let's think about it,'" Rocklein said.

In Insider’s piece, Rocklein recalled a time when Charles and her were supposedly at a nail salon. Suddenly, Rocklein says, she became dizzy and fainted, hitting her head and ending up in hospital.

"After being let out of the hospital the first time, James would text me very understanding things about how he appreciates me and how he hopes I feel better, but when I would call him or talk to him in person, he would be the complete opposite," she said.

Rocklein claims that despite his well wishes, Charles still put the pressure on her to hit deadlines and continue working. She was instructed by a doctor to take a week off work. It was soon after, Rocklein claims, that Charles fired her. Her legal complaint states that James Charles "callously informed her that she was being terminated due to poor performance".

All of this drama has been unfurling during Charles’s break from social media, sparked by allegations that the disgraced influencer exchanged sexts and sent nudes to a 16-year-old boy.
