The Kissing Booth is coming back. Lucky fans are being treated to a third and final movie in the wildly popular Netflix franchise. It’ll see Elle, Noah, Lee, Marco, Chloe, Rachel and more navigate the tricky minefields of dating, friendship dramas and major life decisions that come with being a teenager.
Here's everything you can expect from The Kissing Booth 3, which is hitting our Australian screens sooner than you'd think.
Are they making 'The Kissing Booth 3'?
In July 2020, it was revealed that while the cast and crew were filming The Kissing Booth 2, they were also shooting a third installment of the teen rom-com. So while we were obsessively watching the second film, the cast and crew were hard at work getting us ready for the third. How convenient!
Who will be in the cast for 'The Kissing Booth 3'?
The Kissing Booth 3 was filmed at the same location as the second film, and the entire cast you know and love will be returning! We've got Elle Evans (Joey King), Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi), Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney) and Marco Valentin Peña (Taylor Zakhar Perez) all coming back.
Deadline reported that Joey King, Jacob Elordi, and Joel Courtney will also be joined by Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Meganne Young and Molly Ringwald (!!) for the third installment of The Kissing Booth.
What will happen in 'The Kissing Booth 3'?
As we know, at the end of The Kissing Booth 2, Elle Evans was faced with a huge choice about her future: head to Harvard to be with her boyfriend Noah, or Berkeley to buddy up with her best friend Lee.
Speaking to Variety, director Vince Marcello revealed what would be in store for us in the third film.
"Although The Kissing Booth is a romantic comedy, the heart of it is a coming of age story," Marcello said.
The third film will be "the culmination of this coming of age story — not just for Elle, but for Noah and Lee, as well. Although their paths are entwined, each has their own journey with a set of challenges that they need to overcome before closing the chapter of their lives that was adolescence and beginning their new journey into adulthood."
He added that he's "most excited about giving fans a joyful and emotionally satisfying ending to The Kissing Booth. After all, the love they’ve shown for this franchise, they deserve nothing less." Preach.
What is the release date for 'The Kissing Booth' 3?
Netflix revealed that the release date for the third instalment for our fave teen rom com is August 11, 2021! In late April, the official Instagram account for the film franchise posted this video, giving us a date to furiously mark in our calendars.

What have the cast of ‘The Kissing Booth’ movies been up to?
When we first heard the news that co-stars Joey King and Jacob Elordi were IRL together instead of just on-screen lovers, we were obsessed. However, the pair broke up after a year, and it seems Joey King isn't keen to redo that experience.
"I think that it’s awesome to date someone in your field, who gets it, but doing the same exact thing as somebody is tough. It’s really tough," she said, chatting to Howard Stern in August 2020.
King is currently loved up with her sweetheart, Steven Piet. It seems the pair are having an adorable time together, baking what look like very extravagant meals. She's also gearing up for more exciting releases, including The In Between, a film she produced which recently wrapped on filming.
Meanwhile, Jacob Elordi has scored himself a sweet pad in Byron Bay, which is a two-hectare property surrounded by rainforest and with ocean views. The house has three levels, four bedrooms and a nearby orchard farm, perfect for romantic dates with his reported girlfriend Kaia Gerber.
Perhaps he's hanging out with Zac Efron, who recently moved to the area? We totally would.
