October 4 can’t come quick enough.
The man, the myth, the absolute legend David Attenborough is about to release a brand-new documentary called David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet, set to drop on Netflix on October 4 (so soon!).
Sir David’s latest film is a sobering account of the state of our planet. “This film is my witness statement, and my vision of the future,” says the now 94-year-old Attenborough in the doco’s trailer.
“Our planet is headed for disaster. We need to learn how to work with nature, rather than against it… and I’m going to tell you how.”
There’s perhaps no one on earth better suited to give such a witness statement than Sir David Attenborough, a man who has spent a lifetime exploring the extreme natural wonders of the planet, and who has perhaps seen more of the natural world than any other human alive today.
“The living world is a unique and spectacular marvel, yet the way we humans live on earth is sending it into a decline … Human beings have overrun the world,” he says in his trademark voice, at once soothing and inspiring, for his message is not one of hopelessness, quite the contrary.
The film “is the story of how we came to make this our greatest mistake, and how – if we act now – we can yet put it right.”
The trailer for the new David Attenborough documentary is absolutely gorgeous, you can check it out here:
