It may have taken almost a decade, but we're finally getting the sequel to 2009's Zombieland.

Not only that, it looks like it might actually be...decent. Why's that? Well because the original main cast, director, producer and writers are returning for Zombieland 2.

Yep, that's right - Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin and Woody Harrelson might have spent the last few years swimming in Oscar nominations, but they're 100% locked in to return for this highly anticipated sequel.

Sony Pictures has given the project a green light after many false starts, THR reports. The film is set to begin production in January 2019 and will be released in October of the same year, to coincide with the ten year anniversary of the original film, which has gone on to be a major cult classic.

While there's been no numbers given for the film's budget as of yet, you know it's gonna be huge, especially considering the major launchpad the film gave for its four lead stars. All of them have garnered at least one Oscar nomination, with Emma Stone actually taking home the statue in 2017 for her lead role in La La Land.

BRB watching the original on repeat until October 2019.
