We Don't Think We Can Handle This: Destiny’s Child Is Reportedly Reuniting

No, we don't think we're ready for this jelly.

In the best news we’ve heard this month, (read: year? 2020 sucks) Destiny’s Child are apparently reuniting!

The group, comprised of Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and the one and only, Beyoncé Knowles, are apparently in “tentative talks” to do one last reunion tour, reports The Mirror.

“They’ve always said they would get back together one day when the time is right – and there is no time like the present. Nothing has been signed off yet, but as soon as a vaccine is ready and the pandemic is over, watch out for an announcement. It would really lift fans’ spirits.”

The group have reunited twice since DC first went their separate ways in 2006 – once to play at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show, and then again at Coachella, when Michelle and Kelly joined Bey on-stage during her set.

To be honest, though, rumours of a Destiny's Child reunion crop up pretty often, so while the group’s upcoming 30th anniversary does give this fresh speculation more weight, we’re not banking on it happening.

Last month Bey’s dad, Mathew Knowles, told Us Weekly that he hoped a reunion would happen, but he understood “that Kelly and Beyoncé are mothers and they have a family and that changes the dynamics”.

"Each one of the ladies are successful in their own right. They all have their individual solo careers. So coordinating family, careers, that’s a lot of juggling. I’m sure in due time the ladies will decide if that’s what they want to do..."

If the ladies could decide that “due time” meant 'getting back together as soon as international artists are allowed into our borders and there are no restrictions to concert venues', that would be great, thanks.
