WATCH: Halsey Ripped Into A Fan Who Kept Yelling 'G-Eazy' At Her During Pre-Super Bowl Performance
There's nothing quite like the feeling that takes over your body when you hear your exes name.
The hairs on the back of your neck stand up, a rush of blood flows to your head and the bad kind of butterflies set up camp in your stomach. It's not fun, but it happens. For most of us this usually goes down in a situation where you can keep your sh*t together - but for Halsey it happens a little bit more publically.
Over the weekend the singer was performing at the BUDX Miami by Budweiser party during Super Bowl LIV celebrations, when a fan got a little mouthy for her liking.
In between songs the 25-year-old was addressing the crowd when someone kept yelling out the name of her ex-boyfriend, rapper G-Eazy. Smh.
And she was having fkn none of it, thank you very much.
“If you say G-Eazy one more f–king time I will kick your ass out of this party,” she said while walking over to the person. “I will kick your f–king ass out of this party! Test me! F–king test me! You wanna get out of the crowd?! Who was it? It’s you? Who said G-Eazy?”
"Do not disrespect me like that at my own show!" she continued.
Honestly good on her. We can't imagine how unsettling it must be to constantly have thousands of people screaming at you, let alone triggering old relationship memories. Music gigs should be a safe space, not only for fans but also for artists.
Later on the Graveyard singer took to her Instagram stories to comment on the incident.
"don’t ever let someone make u feel crazy or unhinged cause ur a woman standing up for urself. don’t tolerate disrespect in the name of being ‘nice’. Love u,” she wrote.
